The Agreement

The following agreement (“this Agreement”) describes the terms and conditions on which  The Warren (“the Provider”) will fulfill the obligations set out in the document put forward (“the Service”). This offer is conditional on your (“the Client”) agreement to all the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement (“Booking Agreement”). 

By using the Service or by exercising any rights provided to parts of it, you accept and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of Service. The Warren only grants you the rights contained in this Agreement in consideration of your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Service. 

If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions of Service you should not use the Service and therefore decline this Agreement.

The Service

In this instance, the service pertains to the Provider offering boarding services at their site, and / or pet sitting services at the Client’s home.

Any additional services will incur extra charges, and must be agreed prior to the commencement of the assignment.  

All additional services provided by the Provider are bound by the same terms and conditions of service, as outlined below

1. General 

1.1 All bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions. These can be altered from time to time, any changes will result in a new document being issued to all clients and posted on our website with highlights below to the changes made. 

1.2 The Warren will treat your personal information confidentially and will not pass your details to any third parties 

1.3 After your booking has been completed, the data held on your booking form will be held for one year after your booking end date, then destroyed.

2. Current Boarding Costs

2.1 Rabbits are boarded at 

2.1.1 £6 per night for a single rabbit in our standard enclosures 

2.1.2 £9 per night for two bonded rabbits sharing a standard enclosure 

2.1.3 £11 per night for three bonded rabbits sharing a standard enclosure

2.1.4 Premium accommodations have a £1 surcharge per night

2.2 Guinea Pigs are boarded at 

2.2.1 £6 per night for a single Guinea Pig

2.2.2 £9 per night for two bonded Guinea Pigs sharing an enclosure 

2.2.3 £11 per night for three bonded Guinea Pigs sharing an enclosure

2.2.4 £12 per night for four bonded Guinea Pigs sharing an enclosure

2.2.5 Any additional Guinea Pigs are boarded at an extra £0.50 per night

2.3 These charges are fixed at the time of booking, in the event of any price changes when reviewed, the price agreed at booking shall remain in force. 

3. Payment

3.1 The total booking balance is due on arrival. 

3.2 Payments are accepted in cash or bank transfer. 

3.3 If the client decides to cancel their pets stay within 7 days of the boarding start date, we reserve the right to charge the full booking amount. 

4. Your Pet(s)

4.1 It is of the utmost importance that you give us full information in relation to the needs and requirements of your pet. The Warren will rely on this information and any changes of your pets condition or requirements should be communicated with the provider as soon as possible. 

4.2 You must ensure that your pet is in good health and free from parasites and is adequately wormed upon arrival at our site. 

5. Drop-off and Collection

5.1 Drop-off and collection of pets are by appointment only. Both must be arranged by minimum 5 days prior to your boarding start date. 

5.2 All pets should arrive and depart in a suitable carrier provided by the client. 

5.3 The collection time can be altered by the client during your pets stay however additional boarding charges may be added as required. 

5.4 If you decide to cut your pets' stay short for any reason we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the original booking. 

6. Failure to Collect

6.1 If your pet is not collected at the agreed upon time we will attempt to make contact with you using the information provided to rearrange - should this encounter any additional charges you will be held liable. 

6.2 If we are unable to contact you with the information provided or you fail to contact us we will attempt to rehome your pet after 7 days. You will be liable for all additional boarding fees until re-homing has taken place. 

7. Food

7.1 Please ensure you provide us with enough food during your pets stay.

7.2 Please ensure you advise us of any specific feeding requirements or food intolerance on booking. 

8. Multiple Pets

8.1 Only bonded, neutered pairs can share the same hutch.

8.2 We will not be held accountable for any animals that may fight. Should we need to separate your animals for any reason the additional accommodation costs will be incurred. 

8.3 Please note, we may not be able to accommodate giant breeds of rabbit due to the hutch space required - please make us aware if you have a giant breed of rabbit at booking so we can see if boarding can be arranged. 

9. Vaccinations

9.1 We highly recommend your rabbits are fully vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD) and are unable to accept unvaccinated rabbits due to risk of transmission. 

9.2 We require proof of vaccination in the form of valid and dated certificates, which must be produced either at the time of booking or upon arrival. 

9.3 We highly recommend your rabbits are protected against Flystrike. We do everything we can to prevent flystrike and as such cannot be held liable should your rabbit suffer from fly strike whilst boarding with us. Should we find evidence of flystrike during your pets stay, they will be taken to the vet as a matter of urgency. Particularly for those boarding between the months of April and September we will urge for rabbits to be treated with a fly guard product to prevent flystrike prior to boarding with us.  

10. Illness

10.1 If your pet is under current vet care and receiving treatment for a non-contagious condition, we will be happy to administer prescribed drugs or medication on your behalf. It is your responsibility to ensure your pet has enough medication to last the duration of their stay and to ensure that full information including times and doses are provided to us at arrival. 

10.2 The health and care of pets is extremely important to us. We reserve the right at all times to refuse the boarding of any animal with signs of injury or sickness. We also reserve the right to refuse the boarding of any animals with contagious diseases or evidence of mites which may endanger other boarders and residents at the Warren. 

10.3 Your pet will be kept separate from any other animals in our care, with the exception of their own bonded partner(s) should they have one. We check animals and clean hutches daily and every precaution is taken to reduce the potential of illness spreading, however we cannot be held responsible should your pet become ill during their stay. 

11. Lost Pets

11.1 The Warren has been built with pet safety in mind. Every possible precaution has been taken in order to ensure your pet remains safe and secure during its stay. 

11.2 Please advise us if your pet is prone to digging or escaping so extra measures can be taken in order to keep them safe. 

11.3 In the unlikely event of your pet escaping we will make every effort to locate them, however we cannot be held responsible should they not be found. 

12. Emergencies

12.1 In unforeseen circumstances should your pet require emergency medical treatment, The Warren will ensure your pet receives immediate veterinary attention. We will use your specified preferred vet where possible. All vet fees incurred are the responsibility of the owner. 

12.2 Should your pet require medical treatment whilst boarding with us, we will endeavor to keep you fully informed using your emergency contact details. 

12.3 Wherever possible we will liaise directly with you before any treatment costs are agreed. 

13. Death

Your pet’s health, safety and welfare are our main priority. In the unlikely event of a death occurring, we will contact you immediately to discuss arrangements. 

14. Additional Service 1 - Nail Trimming 

14.1 For an additional cost of £5 per animal, you can choose to get your pet’s nails clipped during their stay with us. If you choose this service, it will be completed at a time chosen by us during your pet’s stay.

14.2 We reserve the right to withhold or refuse to perform this service in reflection of a pet's behaviour, physical limitations or tolerance. If your pet does not allow us to trim their nails, in the interest of ensuring their peace and happiness, we will not force them to have this done and instead offer to refund between 50 - 100% of the price of the nail trim, depending on the level of service provided. 

14.3 We do everything in our power to ensure your pet remains free from harm during this additional service, and by agreeing to pay for this additional service to be performed, you agree to release The Warren, and those acting in its name from any liability, and waive all claims for any damage caused by the provider performing this service.

15. General Provisions

15.1 This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between the said parties, subject to the terms and conditions as outlined within the Booking Agreement.

15.2 The section headings contained in this Agreement are for convenience purposes only and shall not affect the interpretation of this Agreement. 

15.3 Where the context so implies, words importing the singular number shall include the plural and vice versa and words importing the masculine shall include the feminine and vice versa. 

Please Note currently there are no licensing laws or regulations in respect of boarding small animals and as such all animals are left entirely at their owner’s risk. The Warren cannot accept any responsibility should your pet become ill or a death occurs. 

By choosing to board with The Warren you have agreed with the terms and conditions found within this document.
